Working on 3D OpenGL/C Game Engine...

Post by erek »

I'm working on a high poly count game engine, and i'd like some feed back on the load times/speed of the model... not so much of the quality of what you see.. yet

http://www.frozenarctic.com/erek/object1.c (apparently my model got curropt in the original rar... so replace it with this)

(mouse rotates model, and arrow keys move it)

the model has an extreme amount of polygons... i just want some diverse statistics from different setups out there...

haven't calculated how many polygons exactly

but almost 10,000 quads with 4 vertices and 4 normals a piece, and several sounds triangles with 3 vertices and 3 normals a piece

so an insane amount...
