man look at those system reqs
Recommended system requirements:
+ Windows98/2000/Me/XP
+ 2 GHz CPU
+ 256 MB RAM
+ DX9 compatible video card
+ ~4 GB free hdd space
did you even see the dx9 trailer for graphics?
and what's with the crappy ram req. you'd think they'd require more.
Halflife 2
Re: Halflife 2
It does require more, but a Dx9 compatible video card (probably a decent 128mb card would be good) and 4 gigs of hard drive space kinda decreases the need for 512+ ram.

Uhm, it's been "confirmed" since the first post in this thread. That article says nothing that the other ones didn't.

You all have link for beta of it?
Re: Halflife 2
Isn't beta the public beta release? Not necessarily "public" - but still not illegal to distribute.
Re: Halflife 2
nope
it was leaked which makes it illegal to own, want to own, request to own, or even look at :P

Would that make a commerical copy able to be distributed legally by anyone? :) It's their property...
Now, from a coder standpoint, what exactly was in the source? Part of the physics engine? Sprite handling? Texture/Map handling? The multiplayer engine? Someone give me details...I'm too lazy to dig :)
