i have a prostar right now. i hate it.

dell has decent laptops

FYI syntax, dell's $750 off 1500 is a hoax. i priced the same EXACT pieces for the 750 off 1500 sale they had last month and it ended up being ~1450 AFTER the 750 off for the same laptop.

if you say so, lol. i just got my friend in on a deal two days ago. he missed out on the 35% off coupon a week or so ago and was just gonna go with the 25% off promotion that was going on. i convinced him to wait because 25% compared to 35% is $100 at $1000. the laptop he priced cost $1500. 25% off would have been $375. i got him in on the last $600 coupon they had and he got his laptop for $900. additional $125 in his pocket.

I need a bigger screen than 12" on the laptop, wouldn't be able to go lower than 14". I was gonna laugh at the 256 ram until I saw your comment, that things gonna be sweet though.

12" is good... 17" is too hefty and 15 is what i'm used to... so I think 12 will be perfect

the 12 is a little small for my tastes. but as we discussed on aim, the weight and physical size of the laptop make up for it.

that's one thing.

another thing is the small keyboard; it leads to the ",", "." and "/" keys taking the space of 2 regular keys... so it's hard to hit the right one.

lastly the graphics; but other than that it's wonderful. gotta love 5 hours on battery
