ooops yep, that proberbly deg C. thanks for spotting my deliberate mistake. I have a PIII 1 gig with both sound and graphics (3D 4meg) on board, hence new graphics card vodoo 3 I think going in at the weekend. its a gigabyte GA-60XM7E board with intel 815 AGPset or at least that what the manual says. never had any probs until this bleeping. Thanks for all the help you guys. first forum that I've joined and didn't really expect any 'help' expected more hassle if you know what I mean. Had a good look around and some cool stuff being talked about.

ok, I have just check the bios and here the figures currect CPU temp 53 deg C;CPU fan speed 5113 RPM; CPU temp select 65 degC/149 deg F; shutdown Temp 80 Deg C/176 deg F; cpu fan fail alarm=disabled;apu fanfail alarm=disabled; power fan fail=disabled;sys fan fail=disabled. I have a stock/ non varible / make a noise all of the time type fan. like I said through normal use surfin or using word e-mail etc no problem start to do some thing with graphics and beep. the temp of the cpu when i was getting the beppin was about 62 deg C which I was told was for my old PC was normal, I say old 2 yrs.

graphics = loaded = heat... p3's can't handle much heat...



that's your problem, get better cooling



you have the slot or socket p3? buy a newer fan appropriately...



if your system temp is really high, you might consider buying system fans instead

Thanks, Ill take that advice, I makes sense really when that pc is under graphical load the temp obviously rises, I think though the sensor is definatley got more sensitive because I used to run colin Mcrae rally II no probs with no beeps. oh well like me she getting alittle passed it.
