Am I totally wrong in suggesting that he check his router settings, especially his port forwarding protocols?

What IP are you setting up worldgroup to use.

You say you have 3 network cards and the cable modem on the computer? That would mean that you have 4 ip addresses. You need to setup worldgroup to use the external IP that is assigned to that cable modem. Something that isn't 192.*.*.* and then hopefully someone should be able to connect to the external IP.

You can run a computer with several nic cards and no router? I didn't know that was possible. I guess it is though. I dunno then, go get a damn router, it's easier.

I don't use the home router for my internet...other than the one the cable company provides, it's often referred to as a cable modem though :D

I've collected them for a few months from work, comps i buy cheap etc really didnt cost me much at all seen as i can use the comps that 2 of them came in, the other i baught for $10. Anyway the ip was set to the cable modem and its not a modem/router I dunno what was going on but i changed back to XP and it works fine again, when i have more free time I'll look into it again
