guess not..

It’s because of this that PCI-E GeForce 6800 cards can’t be modded into 16-pipeline cards. Basically, their NV41 graphics core only features 12 pipelines so there’s nothing turned off at the factory.

GeForce Go 6800 is a PCI Express part. :(

Yes erek, with some brands of the 6800NU they are unlockable. Versions excluded are (that i know of): Some BFG 6800 OC, EVGA, and a few others.

Heres a Link to the forums (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=841145&highlight=6800NU+unlocked) that i did some research on awhile back that explained the process.

GeForce Go 6800 NU

NVIDIA decided to implement two distinct lines for PCI-E GeForce 6800 cards because it was discovered during production of AGP-based NV40 that yields on 16-pipeline GeForce 6800 GT/Ultra were quite good, so rather than putting a costly 16-pipeline part into a mainstream product like the GeForce 6800, they decided that it was better to go with a distinct manufacturing line for this product that is built from the get-go with only 12 pipes.

i'm almost 100% sure the GeForce Go 6800 is on the PCI Express bus meaning it's only got 12 pixel pipelines total, not unlockable.

Depends, if the GPU fab is the same it might work. Download RivaTuner and give it a shot. If it doesnt allow for it you'll know. If it does try it and see what happens. Its a softmod so it only takes effect when windows boots. Not bios dependent.

AGP = NV40 based, PCI Express = NV41 (12 pixel pipelines maximum) :(
