Hey Folks,

I'm a big fan of the author Edgar Rice Burroughs (who also wrote the Tarzan series). He wrote a series of Books set in 1870-ish where a Virginia Gentleman Ex-soldier is Transported to the planet Mars. It is an excellent if somewhat aged story.

I read that Paramount Pictures bought an option to film the Story. The Crew that are assigned/interested are the team that produced and filmed a little movie called "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns" you know the ones? they starred Brendon Fraser et al....

things were put on hold because the Director to be had just quit the Directors Guild and Paramount only works with Directors Guild members... (usual BS)



I'm waiting patiently and haven't heard anything more.

Please anyone know any more?
