lots of updates have gone in since ive posted last.. and some big new ones are going in soon... for more info check out my webpage and forum..
http://operationmindcrime.us
just some info for those who have never heard of OMC -
a lot of basic things have changed to have a more d&d feel.. edits going in are all in the world of faerun and much time has been taken to reproduce the areas as they appear in the forgotten realms fantasy setting..
currently we are working on balancing things like cash drops and item costs, as well as creating new areas, monsters and quests. i am also focusing on ways for users to further customise their chracters, so they arent like everyone else of the same class and race. we have already implemented 'religions' which lets you pick one out of 18 god(ess)s to follow. each religion has its own benefits and spells.
so for those of you who have played before and quit.. come on back and check it out.. a lot has changed..
and those of you who never have.. give it a try.. a lot more to do than your boring stock hump the caveworm 10x exp realm :P

What's up with the long downtime? Not like the board to be down very long, I'll assume it'll be corrected when you get to work tomorrow. Or at least I hope it will be :cross:

Sysops of his caliber take the boards down for legitimate reasons. Hope for the best.

so has anyone heard from panterra? i haven't seen him online in a few days and the board is still down and his website was down (that seems to be working today though).

Not to be one to state the obvious... but perhaps he has run into some issues with his ISP? Copywrite laws? After all, Boink Machine was threatened a couple years ago by an anonymous person who reported my pirating to my local isp... received some hassle from them for it.
Whatever the problem, I wish the board and its staff the best of luck.

i saw news papers piled up on his door step. no one answered

i hosted his website, i don't anymore. i still 'own' operationmindcrime.us even though someone has donated money to pay for it. i told him to give me the name servers he wants to use to host it and he never did... so it's sitting unused.

Re: OMC lookin for abusers [Archive] - ForumsHQ
The page gives me php errors every few minutes, but comes right back, weird. I logged in OMC, I love the setup man, mad props for the areas. I was a bit lost, though... It took me like an hour and five lives to find my way from The Plinth when I died back to Newhaven. Now, you may say what the users say, "go grab the paths, they're on the website".. but, I'd rather do it by hand. The map was a help, but there's no street names on it.
Also, I have a question that I couldn't find the answer to in the forums. Religions... they offer spells, is it -only- priestly classes that receive these spells? If so, what about mages and druids, are they just SOL in that area?
