Folding CPU usage.

my folder is using 100% of my CPU, my temp meter on my laptop has been giving me over heating warnings. I have to shut it down.

that's why you don't run it, or anything else that can utilize 100% CPU for more than an hour or so, on a laptop

Like i said on the Lunar Forums, it will use 100% till another program is needed then that other program take priority over it. Laptops just cant dissapate heat like desktops can, especially if its an Intel based processor.

i turn my fans on to full tilt and I am running at a constant 50C w/ 100% processor utilization on my dell laptop.. ;)

Which laptop? My fan runs all-out on my Inspiron 5100 when I run programs like this on it and it still overheats..even upside down.



Just curious as to what Dell line has some decent cooling

Antec makes some great stuff, I have one of their flagship power supplies on my desktop... the damned thing is incredibly silent and has huge fans practically on each side, gold plated contacts... never skips a beat.
