Hello; Need to ask a Yamaha pro mechanic a ?. I have a 03 road star silverado 1602 cc and heard that I can remove the insides of the exhaust pipes really easily. I was wondering if I need to change the carb jets and if so, change them to what? I would apprciate any info you can give me.

I know I am a little late, but if you are going to remove the baffels from the exhaust you will have to rejet the carbs. To do so all you need to do is call a yamaha parts dealor and ask them, there is a great yamy dealor that has the best prices I have ever found.



Its yamahamegastore.com, or call 1-888-880-2277 and ask for richie...they are normaly at least half the price of my local dealors and his shipping usualy runs 5$ or less.
