heyhey
ok, here's what i'm running:
worldgroup 3.20 under windows ME, majormud version 1.11h with the 'mod9dll.zip' thingy from that guys ftp site - sorry i forget who's it was, but you're a champ for hosting all that stuff and i'm using megamud 1.103r? or something like that. anyway.. here's what's happening with some rooms (i hope this comes out right, but you should get the idea):
[HP=612]:look e
Realm Deeds Shop
You notice 65536 platinum pieces, 124 gold crowns here.
Obvious exits: west
[HP=612]:e
[Connection to host lost]
then worldgroup crashes and in the worldgroup event log it comes up with this error :
d:\worldgroup\wgserver.exe - access violation. Attempt to read from: fffffff
~
what's causing this? any help would be appreciated because its pretty annoying it's happened twice with that same room and also once with another room somewhere in the darkwood forest.....
yeah.. that's all seeya.

Re: What's causing mud to crash? [Archive] - ForumsHQ
you may not have mod8 installed correctly (IE. not having the codes in or something). *type 'sys goto support' and then go up. *There are 10 exits in that room, 9 of them for each of the mods. *make sure you can go into each room to verify you have the mods working.
(im assuming since you only have 1.11h there will only be 9 exits, 8 of them for the mods, and 1 to go back to the support chamber).
if it crashes when you go into one of the rooms then you know it's a mod problem. *trying reinstalling mud and also verify you have the module codes entered correctly under the sysop menu. *another thing to check is that dll you're using. *i don't know if the mod9 dll will work with 1.11h.
good luck,

yeah, and to expand on what he said, go to the SYSOP menu logged in as sysop under majormud and type a for add new module or somethin... then make sure that all 9 have something after them. anything will due. i can guarantee that is the problem. and i have 1.11h and it doesn't have the up from sysop support. i thought that was just morbid's doing.
