DV Camcorder as a Security Camera? [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Does anyone know if there is any software that will turn a digital camcorder into a security camera? I wouldn't think that it'd be too hard for software to sense motion in the video feed from the camcorder, and/or just to take a snapshot every so many seconds. I searched on the net but came up with nothing.
