NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Johnny Cash (news), "The Man in Black" who became a towering figure in American music with such hits as "Folsom Prison Blues," "I Walk the Line," and "A Boy Named Sue," died Friday. He was 71.
"Johnny died due to complications from diabetes, which resulted in respiratory failure," Cash's manager, Lou Robin, said in a statement issued by Baptist Hospital in Nashville.

Yea I heard this morning both Johnny Cash, John Ridder died this morning.....
Going to miss good ole cash, but ever since his wife died this year he has just givin up, I kinda knew he would not last much longer!

Forget you man. Johnny did things his way when he felt like them. Thats more than i can say for some washed up sit-com actor who only started doing anything at all.

LoL..to be truthful, I don't like Johnny Cash or John Ritter..they both sucked at what they did as far as my preference ;)
And John Ritter wasn't an actor who 'only started doing anything at all.' He's been in plenty of movies, and tv shows since before we were alive..well I don't know how old you are, but me anyway;) That doesn't mean I like him..he sucked. Just setting the record straight;) Never said he wasn't washed up either.. ;)

Johnny Cash was the shit!
One of the original outlaws, done more in his life then 99% of us will ever even dream about doing! Hell he was the only person who is in the Country Hall of Fame, The Rock'N'Roll hall of fame, and the Song writers hall of fame....you cant tell me that he was not a legend!

He will be missed regardless of who liked him...I still gotta check out some of the new stuff he did...he got a very morbid twist to him at the end...gave the NIN song a whole new meaning...
