I run my realm 2x, sure it takes longer but its an in-between for the old school players and not a n00b 10x system were everybodys level 50 in a week. People get bored with 10x i found.

2x is what I go with on mine too, but if I'd have known about text block EXP when I started my board, I'd have left it at regular exp. I dig gettin higher exp n all, but I've been playin for years and I can remember how "fun" it was when I finally hit level 40, of course there wasn't very many high exp places back then, but it took a couple months to do. Lower exp also gives a reason for having lower level items. I've edited in a lot of lower level stuff, and I put a level restriction on areas with text EXP just so people are forced to work their way up. It's more fun that way, isnt it?

you get all the "FUN" in 10x system --- w/o the wait...

it just makes you have to reset the realm 10x faster...

I guessed that most people were gonna say 2x or 10x. In my opinion 2x is still a bit too slow for me. Yet 10x you lvl faster then you can get the items for your lvl range. Thats why I voted for 5x, I feel that it would be a nice and imbetween game.

right now w/ a 10x system, higher level players suffer from exp loss. (any monster over lesser efreeti don't give you ture 10x[does that small number of monsters make a diff. beats me, but anywayz]) Ever sense metro said they wuz comming out w/ an update that fixes the 65k cap, iv been talking to my buddies about taking morbid down to 5x. but hey, thats the point of this forum, let the people speak...

Sorry Seph, 2x is too slow for me..might as well play legit..heh.

I like 10x..ESPECIALLY with mod 9..you have to be high level to go in any mod 9 area and even hope to live..so why waste time? thats what most people want to do..thats why I like Morbid how it is.

5x would be nice for mod 8 realms I guess..nothing there is too hard, and theres nothing that someone doesnt know about..people don't know jack about mod 9 areas cuz most uf ya's never been through the whole area..nor have i:)

10x rox..every bbs I've been on since my first intro to Morbid a few resets back has been 10x, and I've played mud for years myself..

I agree with the part about feeling like you've accomplished something when you FINALLY hit 40, as I am also playing in a legit realm on a private, soon to be public, bbs.

As for the statement about you can't get items as quick for your level range, bull. Only items I can't get and haven't gotten are the mod 9 hard as hell item's..and I even have some from the crimson fortress where we went and had a hellacious time being in.

I was thinking about just decreasing the exp need to lvl for all races/classes by a certain percent, instead of multiplying the exp a mon gives. It would definitly be easier then hex editing all the mons (for a mod9 board), and you wouldnt trivialize bosses and some mons by not giving them thier full 10x (or whatever multiplier) because of the 65k cap. Think that would work out ok?
