Do you kow why so many people from cable Provider companies go bankrupt? Because the average consumer like myself with all of 10 hits a day, who doesnt even download "pirated music: like most get banged with these TOS rules. See the DSL companies going out of business? No, because they dont impose these rules like this upon users. Thats a major reason the @HOME portal went under. They got anal about little SOHO users like myself who get 10 hits a day get threat letters from big corporations such as IngightBB, who i been with for years and i suffered from mass outages because of their faulty cable routers yet smiled cheerfully thinking "it will be a better day tomorrow". Bottem line is, :If a user isnt killing a node or pirating software,why try and choke them off?" If you have a response, please do not make it an automated one. I would love a true human response.

I think the cable companies go under because of the sheer cost involved with providing the cable service...renting the lines from the likes of Adelphia/Time Warner/etc... ;)



You will be happier with DSL though, I've tried for years to switch to a 512/512 DSL, but it's not available in this area, so I'm stuck with cable. Moving onto T1's next year though! ;)

Ya ive been trying to get dsl here also, cable was fine up to the time when my whole neighborhood got it, now its slower than shit

Invisigod, I have a web page on my DSL that I haven't ever used. if it comes to it, your more than welcome to move everything there. I dont know how big it is, But I'll look into it when I get home (at work currently).

Bah, I have had insightbb since October of 99 (well, was called @home up until year and half ago?) but anyways, since Insight has taken over, I havent had a problem. With @home, I was having service interuptions at least once a week. One time it went out for about a month and a half, which is how long it took them to get a person over here to fix it. And they credited a whole $7.00 to my account. Wow! What dicks. Insights UPload speed sucks ass anyways, I might check into DSL myself.
