An "illegal" Poem

Post by Xetox »

AN "ILLEGAL" POEM

I cross ocean, poor and broke, Take bus, see employment folk.

Nice man treat me good in there, Say I need to see welfare.

Welfare say, "You come no more, We send cash right to your door."

Welfare checks, they make you wealthy, Medicaid it keep you healthy!

By and by, I got plenty money, Thanks to you, American dummy.

Write to friends in motherland, Tell them 'come as fast as you can.'

They come in turbans and Ford trucks, I buy big house with welfare bucks.

They come here, we live together, More welfare checks, it gets better!

Fourteen families, they moving in, But neighbor's patience wearing thin.

Finally, white guy moves away, Now I buy his house for nothing, and then I say,

"Find more aliens for house to rent." And in the yard I put a tent.

Send for family they just trash, But they, too, draw the welfare cash!

Everything is very good, And soon we own the neighborhood.

We have hobby -- it's called breeding, Welfare pay for baby feeding.

Kids need dentist? Wife need pills? We get free! We got no bills!

American crazy! He pay all year, To keep welfare running here.

We think America darn good place! Too darn good for the white man race.

If they no like us, they can scram, Got lots of room in Pakistan.

Yeah, that's fucked up. I want a damn option to where I can opt to pay welfare or not, and disqualify myself from ever receiving benefits if I don't pay. People keep coming to this damn country, eating up my hard earned money, driving explorers, leather seats on their couch, and surround sound in their house, watching their brand new dvd player with the money that was taxed from the production of the movie that they are watching. They need to stay in their own damn country, if you don't like it there, kill yourself.

ya damn right, I would LOVE the option to not pay welfare and then agree to never be able to accept it. The same for medicare. I gotta work my ass off for my corporate benefits, everyone else should have to too.

AAt least you guys have the otion to or not to pay into Welfare, we dont get that luxury. And our welfare system is bullshit I know a couple of guys that scammed the system for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I had to collect it once for about 3 months, but in that time apparently they paid me for a 4th month that I wasn't suppose to get, that was back in 1996 I got a bill from them this fucking year telling me that I owed them $400, I said fuck that I aint gonna pay those bastards for thier fuck up, and well I aint heard shit from them since.

And no we dont have "free" healthcare it costs me about $1000 p/yr to pay for my healthcare of soemthing I never fucking use and it is fucking mandatory that I pay this bullshit. I have attempted several times to tell them to fuck off that it violates my cival rights. I have been to a hospital once in 30 fucking years and I still have to pay for that bullshit.

Laugh..Pantharen, Speed just said he WISHES WE HAD the option to pay or not to pay, we don't. Don't try and act like anything in Canada is half as bad as it is in 'the states', it isn't..I'd live in Canada if not for the people I know here, as I'm dual citizenship, my sister and I are the only non-Canadians in my family..Canada ain't got shit hard ;)

Aint tryin to say that we're as bad or worse than it is in the States, I aint never really lived down there long enough to know how bad it is. I have dual, but I've never used mine.

Britsh Columbia is the province I live in (4hrs North of Seattle), and it is very fucked up here. We are taxed to death and after death as well.

I guess I read things wrong, it looked like you all have the option not to pay into welfare.

And alot of Americans I have met here are still under the impression that our healthcare is free, that we get both health and dental care.

Our healthcare is a mess, I had 2 friends die last year because our healthcare system is such a fucking joke, but I aint gonna go into that mess.

Heh..if health and dental care in canada were free, half of the americans I know would be moving tomorrow ;)

I have family in Salt Spring Island, which is BC..never really heard anything about bad taxes from them, then again they're the same family who took off work for a month and didn't have to worry the least bit about paying bills..but they live in a small house, so I don't really know..maybe that's why..I know my aunt is a nurse, maybe they're payed good there..heh.

F that shit, man. You need to pimp it. Go the hospital once a week for something and have them prescribe some nice pain killers for you....just keep telling them you have horrible headaches -- eventually they just give you vicodin and/or codiene. Fuck it, you've already paid for it, use it!

Your Aunt should goto the the US to be a Nurse, they're paid better down there. Our doctors and nurses are treated like garbage. Hell we have hospitals that have closed down, there are a few ER's that are only open certain hours. 2 being here in the Greater Vancouver Regional District that are only open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 10 to 6 on Saturdays, closed Sunday. How many fucking ER's are closed after sundown?

Salt Spring Island is a very small community that is about a 2 hr ferry trip from Vancouver. the cost of living on Salt Spring is a hell of a lot less than it is in Vancouver, but the tax rate is the same, on goods and services we pay 7.5% and on everything else we also pay 7% Sales Tax (ie: a pair of jeans say they're $69 +7.5% GST + 7% Sales Tax)

The on our paychecks it's about 25% we lose in Employment insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Federal Tax.

Here is what one of my average paychecks looks like in the breakdown.

Gross Pay 904.00

Deductions:

Fed Tax -125.69

EI -18.98

CPP -39.50

LTDDed -7.50

Net Pay 705.57

Now if I were to get fired or if I was to quit, all the money I paid to EI (Employment Insurance) I would lose and I cannot collect it at all.
