This is something that I'm really interested in. You stated in another thread that you were allergic to pot. Made a new thread so we didn't clutter that one. I'm curious as to how you are allergic to pot, like, what happens to you when you smoke it? There are many many ways to prepare it, it doesn't have to be smoked. The best ways to consume it aren't from smoking it. Are you allergic to the THC, or another chemical in the plant, or have you just tried it once and assume you are allergic because something happened? I'm real curious, I've never heard of anyone being allergic to it and would like to know more about it.

While I can't tell you why, I can at least tell you that's he's not the only one. Someone I know here in Boise is allergic to both pot and beer. And evidently, or at least so she says, it's the same thing in both that gets her. Shrug.



If you want to consider constant, horrible panic attacks being allergic, then count me in too :)

The same thing in both? Doubtful. There may be some active ingredients in both, since they both originate from a plant (one being processed, one being kept in plant form). The reason why I say doubtful is because if she is allergic to ingredients in Beer and Marijuana, then she is allergic to all other plant life as well, since wheat and weed don't have the same biological structure. It can be assumed that they share active chemicals, but if they share them, it is at the basic level of plants, and she would be allergic to them all. She probably isn't allergic to either, she just doesn't want to do either and gives that as a reason.



Constant, horrible panic attacks? On marijuana? Could you please elaborate? I occasionally have panic attacks when I'm sleeping, but they don't relate to weed (as I had them before I smoked, and the number of occurances hasn't changed since). Do you have the attack under the influence? What's it like?





I'm not sure why I'm so curious, but I kinda like being a knowledge base of marijuana, so any new information on the subject is enlightening for me.

my cousin's gf is allergic to pot. I don't know how the severity ranges, but she just gets sick for about a day or two after smoking it. Sometimes headaches, other times it resembles the flu.

I have tried pot a few times, when it is in gaseous form is when it is most deadly (for thos that dont know when it is inhaled), I can eat it in small amounts, I can also eat hash products, but I can't smoke either, I am allergic to the weed aspect, as I am with hay, and grass, and 90% of the tree's on the planet. If I am near a pot plant when it is in flower and pollenating my system goes nuts, it's like walking into a barn, my nose runs, my eyes swell shut and run, my ears plug, my throat goes dry and hoarse.



But when IF I were to smoke pot, or hash, that is when it is deadly, my bronchial tube close and I stop breathing, and I have to be put on 75% pure oxygen and have a tube forced down the throat into my lungs (not a fun experience). IF I am in a room and people are smoking up, I can also have a reaction, not as severe as if I took the toke, or if I'm walking down the street and people are smoking it around me, I might get a headache or get nauseous.



Now I can take a (very small) toke once in a while and not much happens except I get VERY fucked up and all I want to do is sleep it off. (last time I took a toke was about 5 years ago)



So when I was younger, I found things that didn't make me sick, I now have a diviated sceptum (fucked up nose) from snorting too much coke, and perma-tracers from too much acid, I got right into the Chem scene instead. I still have all my marbles tho, as I never went to the point that it would have killed me, also being a techno-Phreak I always wanted to know what I was taking, how much would actually kill me, and what was the most common products it was cut with, and what their reactions were.



I also use to make my own LSD & MDA (no I dont have the ingredients or receipts anymore)

I only ever had a bad reaction to weed once. And i think it was laced with coke or something. Made me upchuck for a few hours.

Invisigod if you were pukin, it wasn't coke, it was possibly moldy, as when you smoke coke you get a psychedelic high, doesn't usually make people puke, unless the coke was cut with rat poison. But moldy weed will make anyone puke as your inhaling mold spores.

How am I missin out? Missing out on being fucked up? If I wanna get fucked up, I'll drink a 40 of Crown Royal :D If I wanna get fucked up on weed, I'll make some Ganja butter and make cookies. But I'm pushin the Big Four OH, and well I have better things to do with my time than get fucked up.



As for being allergic to pot, it doesn't suck. I get along just nicely without being stoned. I haven't touched any drug (outside prescrip) in about 5 years. Last drug I had was perkidan about 3 years ago (I'm also allergic to codein) when I busted my hand :)



Healthcare is the biggest bonus of livin in Canada :D
