even though you've provided the smallest amount of information possible for us to try and troubleshoot ... the only thing i would say is it probably a permissions problem. since before it was part of a domain it was allowing connections from any computer. but now that is part of the domain it is looking for authentication.

what kind of network setup do you have? ie is the computer behind a router? That would be an excellent place to start since I think you may be behind one and don't have the router set up correctly.

well the server is acting as my router, using the windows routing and remote access stuff. It's connected directly to my cable modem and I can browse the net quite fine on this machine. I have set up NAT so that my cable connectiong is public and the rest are private. I'll list what I have under each section.

Routing Interfaces - cable connection, LAN1-3, Loopback and Internal

Remote Access Clients - none

Ports - bunch of WAN Miniports and a Direct Parallel

IP routing - General - Cable, LAN1-3, loopback and internal (these are all operational except for internal)

- Static Routes - none

- IGMP - Cable (proxy), LAN1-3 (routers), Internal (nothing)

- Network Address Translation - Cable, LAN1-3

Also In the NAT I have a special port 23 to internal comp running wg.

The routing and remote access server is active.

Did you set up dhcp and dns server on the machine? you have to add a dhcp scope to hand out ip's to the other machines on the network.

oh and can you even see the other machines on the network? There is a whole slew of things you could be doing, and i'm wondering why you havent tried running the network troubleshooting guide in the help files first.. considering it has a bigass checklist of things to do while setting up a windows 2000 server.

ntp server

mobile ip home agents

smtp server

pop3 server

Okay, how about these:

Do your internal boxes have IPs and the correct DNS info? i.e. Are they pulling info properly from the server?

Can you ping your LAN IP on the server from the interal boxes?

Can you ping the LAN IP on the server from the server?

Can the local boxes ping their own IP?

Is there any way you can shell out the US$50 for one of these (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384306269&skuId=4261541&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01029)

Start tracing the flow of data and figure out where it's stopping -- from both directions. Run trace routes if the pings look fine....

Offer some more info? If you want help, explain *everything* and we can decide what info we need. Don't make people ask *you* what your problem is. If you don't even know what info someone would need to help, maybe online tutorials are your best bet. Read everything....
