DDR400=? ??(pc3700?) [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Does ddr 400 mean like it supports any DDR that is 400mhz? Like the pc3700 pc3200 pc2700 ect ect?
Re: DDR400=? ??(pc3700?) [Archive] - ForumsHQ
DDR400 means that the RAM runs on a 400MHz FSB (Frontside Bus, for those lacking proper acronym training)
PC 3700, for example, means that the theoretical speed of the RAM is 3.7 Gigabytes per second (Big G, as in the 1024, not 1000 of MB, not mB)
Hope that helps

the pc3700, etc support different FSB speeds. You should double check the motherboard to make sure what speed or type of memory you should be using.
