Re: Cancer
Tell your sister not to worry, man. Its only her cervical. I don't think people necessarily need that. It's just like a spleen or a kidney -- worthless.
Re: Cancer
are you looking for a philosophical/theological answer or comfort?
if the former, this should go in the unused philosophy forum

Although cervical cancer is one of the easiest to catch early, treat, and contain, it leads to a likelihood of not being able to carry a child. That is not worthless. A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She got pregnant shortly after and lost the child in her 6th month.

first of all it's not her "cervical", it's her cervix. secondly, who gives a fuck what it is? cancer is a bitch any way you look at it. i have lost about 1/2 of the people in my family to 1 form of cancer or another. i dont think you would be so non-chalant if it were someone close to you. and just because its an organ that you technically dont hafta have to live, having things removed does not always take care of the issue. i had an aunt who was diagnosed with cancer in her kidney 3 years ago. they removed it and thought they had it all. she died a year later. they were wrong.
ghost, i hope everything works out for your sister and she can beat this.
