I am going to buy a digital camera. Price, $0-1500. I need to know what to buy. I've been looking online and through crutchfield and a lot of other places, and can't really find what I need. I'm going more for a digital camcorder. I want something that can take long video clips (at least 20 minutes), and as many as possible. This is hard to do with the stupid little memory sticks they have, since they are both expensive as fuck and don't come in very large sizes, 128megs is the largest I've found. I'm going to be bringing this camera out in bumfuck nowhere every weekend, and trying to record as much as possible, in low light.



I found one that I think will work for what I need.

Has anyone ever used this? It has a built in CD burner and burns directly to a CD as you record or snap. It's got 3 MPEG Movie modes (w/audio) - Video mail (160x112), Presentation (320x240) and HQX (320x240) with 16fps full screen playback. EX (EXtended) clip length limited only by capacity of media (90 min in Video Mail mode).



If it's 90 minutes at 160x112, I'm guessing it's about 20-40 minutes in 320x240. 340x240 isn't too bad for what I'm planning on doing with the video (no I'm not making porn). I could bring a shitload of cds with me every weekend and be able to record as much as I want, since they are only a buck or two. I could just buy 10-20 cdrws and use those, then transfer to my computer, but that could get hard drive space intensive.



If anyone knows about digital cameras/camcorders, let me know what you use/like. I'm not in it so much for the pictures as for the video.
