...Just a beef I got with potential employers

Post by MrBlack »

Ok people...first off, I know this is a touchy subject for alot of you autonomatons out there that take everything the government sayes for truth...but please please PLEASE start thinking for yourself and question their logic... I'd like to start by pointing a few things out about your information sources...First off, the government is run by who?

POLITICIANS

That's correct...and what do politicians do for a living?

THEY LIE

Of course! They lie so that you will keep them in office and they can continue making money off of us...They lie about policies so that we don't know the truth about them, they lie and tell us that they do it all for the countries better good, but in most cases are only doing it for the good of their own pockets...this isn't the whole case with some of them...the Governor of New Mexico is actually a great guy, but I'll get to that in a minute...

Now, with that tidbit established, I would like to breach the subject of drugs....oooh, run for it, hes talking about illegal drugs!

Firstly, I'd like to say...fuk you government! It is because of laws that try to govern our entire lives that people seem compelled to break them and goto jail...If I dont want to wear a seatbelt it's my choice, after all, it's my body, I'm the only one gonna die if I hit that tree, right?

RIGHT

Thank you..

Now, our government thinks that the increasing crime rates validate increasing laws. WRONG. The more laws there are, the more there are to break, accidently or intentionally...Any country or community with lax laws has fewer crimes, lower crime rates...today, presently, over 60% of our prisons are filled with drug offenders, 80% of which are for possession of marijuana of less than 5 ounces. Now, for those of you who know anything, that really ain't alot (Ok, maybe it is, but by drug standards, it's not..if you can see this dichotomy)

Now, look at Amsterdam...I only use this as reference because everyone is familiar with it...I'll use Quebec then...In Quebec, there are blantantly obvious pot bars..you go in, smoke out, and you have a good time with your friends...now, MJ is illegal, in differing degrees...can't smoke in public areas, stuff like that, can't have a certain amt, blah blah, don't remember all the laws...BUT in those same smoke shops, they have cigarette smoking areas cased in glass so the rest of the patrons don't have to inhale that crap (I think this is the funniest part of it all).

I'm rambling, sorry...my point...or one of them...is that because the government sayes its bad and illegalized it, do you really believe them? I know its illegal, but do you believe its bad?

Here's some history on it...Utah was one of the first states to ban the use of it...heres why...missionaries would goto Mexico to preach and convert...but when they were introduced to teh mind expanding substance, they would begin to doubt their religion, doubt the purposes and reasons behind the church...they still believed in god, just not the way the church wanted them too, and since the church (Latter Day Saints, Mormons, for the layman) runs Utah, then Utah banned MJ and its use...Later othr states began to ban it for various reasons based on the way it caused the users to begin to question the obviously illogical reasons governement and other structural institutions did things...For all of you that get high, you have been ther, seen that, and know what I'm talking about...How many of you have ever sat up all night, so stoned you could barely sit up straight, but you would be wide awake contemplating and jabbering on about the logic behind government, religion, then would wander off into the mysteries of God, Space, Time and the universe itself...Now, these are all things that Institutions don't want you doing. From this point on, I'll continue to refer to them as Institutions, which to be described, are government, religion, and big businesses. Medical Institutions fall under this category as well...Anything Institutionalized is basically a LARGE group of professional or high powered people that are powered by their own self greed and lust for more power.

You have all seen this in medicine, "It's more profitable to treat the disease than to cure it" Paraphrased quote from some sci-fi movie I watched at some point...I think it was Johnny Mneumonic...not sure...

Anyway...Institutions decide what is right and wrong, and currently, drugs are wrong..Now, I don't condone the use of them, even tho I do occasionally partake here and there...

There are some drugs that are blantantly obviously bad for you...if it burns when going in, then it prolly isn't good...Good and Bad are relative. Good for me could be Bad for you, I don't believe that laws should govern us so strictly...Afterall, every human has his or her own morals that decide what he or she does. Eventually, that person will come to the 'right' decision, don't they always in the movies? Movies are just dramatic versions of our own lives...

Now, back to MJ...MJ became illegal in California after a couple of scientists experimented with THC on dogs...some dumbass doc took a huge hypo needle filled with pure THC and injected it directly into the brains of a bunch of dogs...now...one of these dogs died from overdose...an overdose that any pot smoker knows could never possibly happen naturally by ingesting or inhaling pot. This test was blantantly absurd and unfair, but because it caused a fatality, that was the only thing seen, and the Federal Government decided to illegalize MJ....

Now, theres some history few know, and it may not be totally accurate, but I urge you to question it and go research it, find out for yourselves the truth behind the bullshit fed to you by the government...

Now, this whole spiel was set about by an interview I had had this morning, where I was all set to be hired on at a construction company, and the final thing he asked me was could you pass a drug test...now, it had been 4 days since I smoked up a lil bit, and I said yeah, cuz I knew, if I went home, came back, I could be ready...but then he askes, could you pass if I tested you today? I'm an honest person, so straight up I say nope. He sayes well, we cant hire you then, its a liability, and we feel that people on drugs could be unsafe to work around....now that almost made me laugh...

First off, everyone that knows a pot smoker knows that they are the safest people to be in a car with...they do drive 20 below the speed limit sometimes, but thats ok, at least thye get where they are going safely, right? And even if you smoked pot at some point in your off hours....there is no fukin way (sorry for that, always say if you resort to derogatory slang words, your showing a lack of intelligence) that it will still be affecting you long after you have slept, ate and showered and gone to work...unless you were one of those poor dogs in the California experiment...

If people really believe that, then maybe they should be shot for stupidity. Would clear out the gene pool a little...

Brace your selves reader...I'm about to make a long used comparison! Alcohol is worse for you than MJ, Tobacco is worse for you than MJ! I say that latter part only because the tobacco companies nowadays have put so many chemicals into their tobacco crops and fields, that one cigarette takes away 10 days of your life. Smokign a cigaretee, drinking a beer, all kills you slowly...Alcohol does not digest well, you all know the effects, they teach you this so early in schools nowadays, they should be teaching the tobacco and mj facts as well...btu thats beside the point. Alcohol settles in the liver, the liver can only break down so much an hour, the more you drink the more settling in the liver, the more it corrodes your liver as it sits there...alcohol is bad in too high of quantities.

I myself would rather trust ole Mother Nature over Man. Mother Nature gave us the Opium plant, the Mushrooms, Payote, Marijuana, and the Coca plant...all very natural, very fun plants to manufacture into something equally as natural and fun to smoke or eat. Now, Man has come along, and turned a natural plant, such as tobacco into a poison spewing plant...they have turned several chemicals extracted from plants into another fun way to trip, and not so toxic physically, but possibly mentally (my research hasn't uncovered much to debunk the governement on their propoganda against LSD, but just wait, read, learn, listen). They have even taken a quarry of chemicals and turned them into toxic chemicals that cause you to run longer with less real energy intake (speed, meth) so you burn out faster, and the faster you burn your body away like this, the shorter you live.

I am only pointing this all out because so many people don't know the risks they take taking these things, I would like them to at least research for themselves, don't listen to what others tell you, don't listen to the governement or any other Institution. Everyone has only one agenda...themselves...and anything they tell you is to make themselves better off...Read, Research all you can.

MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS!

Just because the governement sayes its right, it isn't right, just because the church sayes its wrong it isnt wrong!

Deep down, inside, you know what is right, and what you feel is right, is right for YOU, not for your brother, your mother, your cousin or best friend, it is right for YOU and you ALONE!

Do not force your opinion on others, and do not press your will on another either. After all God gave use Free Will. What are we without our freewill? We are nothing, autonomotons, mondless zombies that do the bidding of another.

And that is exactly how and what we are turning out to be in this great land of the free, America.

You're the man. I've been saying the same thing myself, but couldn't have said it the way you did. Much more professional and only one "fuck". I havent smoked since I got on probation, and still havent since I've been off, but I still think having it be illegal is absurd. Man, the government sucks ass... I got distracted and forgot what I started to type in here so I'm just gonna end on that note. Heh, I dont need drugs the way my brain is.

Oh yeah, they started random drug testing at my work, and it was announced 5 minutes after the head honcho said "I dont care what you guys do at home just don't do it at work". then "We're gonna start random drug testing". WTF!???! It won't effect me, since I don't do drugs anymore, but I still think it's bullshit. Taking a drug test before you can get hired sucks too, my girlfriend had to do that today to get a job cleaning a fucking hotel. Like if she's a pot smoker she's gonna drink some clorox too or somethin. Having a felony on your record is the same way, I have one from 4 years ago, the only time I have ever broken the law (and been caught), and I can't find a decent job. I'm slowly workin my way up at the one I have, but its a shitty job anyway. I got turned down from one place that just answered phones and helped people with their phone problems. Like I'm gonna run out with a fuckin computer under my arms. (it was a burglary conviction). Fuckin stupid shit... I'm movin to Canada.

I just realized I forgot some stuff in my big spiel heh

Just wanted to say that the New Mexico state governor is a good man. Currently he is working on the legalization/distribution of marijuana issues. They interviews him in Playboy this past year and he spoke a bit about it...(Yes, some people DO read playboy articles heh)

Now, he is a good man, he knows whats up, he doesn't do drugs (so he sayes, and if hes speakin truth, then good for him). But he does know that there is alot to be done with the legalization of marijuana.

Some points:

1. Marijuana can be manufactured into hemp, which is the strongest natural fiber for making robes, fabrics.

2. Marijuana grows rapidy, and has a HIGH photosynthesis rate. An one acre field of marijuana produces more oxygen than an one acre field of 100 year old pine trees.

3. The rapid growth rate of marijuana can be used to replace the paper stock, as hemp can also be used in paper production, lowering the demolishment of the rain forests for paper products and other small wood harvesting ventures.

4. Ok, heres the clencher...medicine! God put this great natural aneasthetic and appetite supplement.

Now, I'm about to explain why these won't happen...

1. Marijuana will NOT be used to replace paper, fabric and lumber supplies because those companies that already have established themselves are making too much money off the current situation and think that switching to hemp would cost them money...which it would, in teh short run, but thats not good enough for them

2. Most people do not know the biological uses of marijuana, all they know is that marijuana has THC within it, and THC is a mind altering substance...they say altering because it expands your mind, allowing you to wrap your mind around complex thoughts (such as the philosophies that MANY pot-heads enjoy debating). That is also the same reason it isn't used as a medicinal herb...even tho there are some docs out there that do prescribe a small amt to some terminally ill patients.

Ok, my attention got distracted, so now I forgot what else I had to say...anywho thats just some extra info for you to chomp on.

You guys won't like this but,

I think that any business should be able to do drug test on anybody they want to hire. There shouldn't be laws telling them they have to but if they don't want people on drugs working there then so be it.

I agree about the goverment needing to get the hell out of peoples business but any business should be able to pick people that are not on drugs. I don't believe that pot doesn't effect you at all. I have seen it change people's lives and attitudes at their jobs but I probably won't get an agreement on that at all either.

Oh well thats just my half a cent.

Well, I don't mind if a business wants to pick and choose their employees like that. That's their business...

And I'm not gonna disagree with you about pot changin ppl's lives...most drugs will, it depends on the person, always has, always will...some ppl just have addictive personalities...and those are the ppl that just latch on and con't seem to quit, using it for a crutch to their everyday life...theres otehrs that use for recreation, once, maybe twice a month if not less...

(Don't think I said pot doesn't affect you, just meant that it doesnt have long term effects other than some memory problems...but that is not a permanent affect)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and point of view, if someone doesn't like it, they can just dismiss it

Oh, something I just remembered I'd like to point out...brain cells DO regenerate...that fact has only just recently been released to the public, because the governement was trying their damnedest to keep that secret, because for years they were using it against many people as a way to scare them into not using drugs. Just goes to show you, always always question what your told. If some scientists and students hadn't questioned, then we would not know this fact...
