my appologies to users who have been trying to log on for the past few days...



i have recently been having computer crashing problems, and i was not sure about the source... eventually, my computer crashed so bad that i decided to go into setup and see what was up, only to find that my CPU was running at 99 degrees celsius...



my fan was running really slow for some reason and could not displace the heat well enough.



needless to say i need to get a new processor to replace my melted one, but the board should be back up within a few days

Damn, 99 degrees celcius, that's enough to melt skin. That shit would hurt. My motherboard keeps overheating my video card, which causes the system to halt, I have to keep a big ass walmart fan on my machine at all times. It sucks, but oh well.

I have no idea. We got it from a computer show around here, it's a shitty motherboard running an Athlon 900mhz. It overheats every video card I put in there if I run any graphics application, and some times when I'm just browsing and doing too much shit at once. We sent the motherboard and the video card back to the manufacturer when we got it, and they sent us brand new ones (We marked them on the side with a permanent marker to make sure they sent us new ones) and it still happens. As long as I keep my fan on, it works. I'm too lazy to go get another mini-fan for the video card. I've only got a voodoo3/2k 16mb in it right now, but it overheats my ATI Rage 32mb and my 3D Prophet 64MB which are both out of commision right now. Any clue?
