Is there a way a mudop or extras sysop could Ban A ip with out being at my computer I mean they can suspend them but that emans they can just make another account...so is there a way they can just ban them from the dos commands or somthing?

Yes, one way to do is setup an ftp server with an account that points to your worldgroup directory and have the trusted OP upload a new banip.txt

yep :) the badlist is just a text file... as long as u can copy it over it doesnt matter where u are...

but it has no effect against those who have a different IP every time. how would someone prevent THOSE people from logging on?

shrug i'm not worried about anything.. u just gotta make sure your system is secure.. i havent had any problems in about 3 years (last major problem being shannon)...



if u wanna get rid of someone take their keys away.. if they make a new accout take those away too.. switch your bbs from public to sign-up..
