ok i got all the stuff i need (nightmare wg 3.2 and mud 1.11i) up and running. I played with all my sysop powers like a small child for about 2 hours. Then i tried to create and item and ran into a place where my lack of knowledge hinders me. I went into redux

and inserted a new item and named it and went to the abilities tab and set to it the abilities i wanted. Reloaded bbs and conjured the item and BAM!! it does nothing, the item exists and the description is there but it does nothing. ( at first it was supposed to enslave target, but then i decided to make it a quest item so i had it slay the player when drunk) but i drank it and nothing happened, sure i got the drink message but i was still alive. on top of that the item was still in my inventory. HELP!!!

the best way to make a item is to find the item that is close to it am then click on it to make it highlighted and then click new item and the reanme it tweak it up how you want it... If it is a weapon you are going to have to make new hit message for it and miss message. and change the description of it.;)
