Lastest patch broke monsters... i can't open it.. can open it .. error 713. i can open any other thing. not that. :(

hey.... try relocating the files through the options screen..... I had the same problem where some of my dats wouldn't open.... did that and wammo everything worked again!

hmm, im getting this on one of my machines too (though the other two work and i know a lot of ppl are using v0.6.5). unfortunetly, i have to go to work right now so i wont be able to look at it until i get home. i'll let you know what i find.

ok here is the fix. for some (really) strange reason another dll is required now. and you can't even just put it in the dir, you gotta register it with the system too.



download the "MSSTDFMT.DLL.ZIP" from here (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53926)



unzip it to your system32 directory. then do a start --> run and type this:



regsvr32 \windows\system\MSSTDFMT.DLL

(for Windows NT and 2000: regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\MSSTDFMT.DLL)







lemme know how you make out.

nod, most people aren't. they/we prolly already have the dll. on the 10 machines i tried it on today only 1 didn't work. and this fixed it.

It took me forever to read this post...dunno why...that dll fixed my problem.

I have problems opening dats all the time. Most of the time if I just wait until cleanup or take the board down then go into task manager and shut down anything with WG or whatever, then start everything back up, it'll work fine. What's this dll do exactly, before I download it?

heh, I actually have no idea. I dont know why it needs it all of a sudden either. I think it's a dll used for some standard windows or database functions is all.
