Experts,
I am currently making a series of new areas that happen to be lakes and I am making all rooms (not borders) have N,S,E,W,NE,SW,SE,SW exits (similar to crystal lake near arlysia). The only way I can find to connect the rooms like this is to make a skeleton of the area, then manually connect each of the rooms using the map and exits tab of the NMR "Rooms" menu.
Is there an easier way to connect all of these rooms like the exits above without manually doing this for each room?
I was thinking the Map editor would connect them, but it only creates a new room OVER the current existing one.
Either there is a faster way to do it, which I am completely missing, OR there isn't and I have a huge project ahead of me to complete the other 5 areas I have planned out.
Thanks to any who read and especially to those who can provide a solution,
Sludge

Re: Connecting several rooms to existing rooms (expedited)
that was the first thing I tried, but it doesnt connect my current room to the existing rooms.
Re: Connecting several rooms to existing rooms (expedited)
Ok, So I had to uncheck the "auto use next room" box, but it asks me the room I want to connect to every time after I hit the directional pad. Is there a way to toggle it so it doesnt ask me to confirm the room #?

No but you can use the number pad to make the rooms its much faster and just hit enter on the pad it doesn't take that long at all.
and the "5" key switch's from add new room to connect to existing.

Thanks, I was working with a laptop from work office to complete the area so I didnt have the num pad, but it really didnt take that long once I unchecked that box. I used the mouse and just hit the enter button in sequence to confirm the room connections. Thanks for all of the help!

Tell me about it... i make my own hours, so I find little things like map making to fill the void while im at the office. My boss comes to me for answers, so its not like he will check up on me.
