Anyone know of any cool stuff to do in WoW other than running around killin shit? Are there like side games or anything to do alone? I'm a 22 tauren shaman and running around is getting boring. My basic goals right now are to just get flight paths and stay on top of my skills and try to find a mount in my level range. I only play 2-3 hours a week generally.



Also has anyone played a tauren shaman? I've got all kinds of totem spells/skills that I can't use, because I don't have any totems. I can't finish the very first shaman quest at kodo rock because when I get close, it says something like Shaman Shrine must be present, even though I'm standing right next to it. I've tried the quest a half dozen times between levels 4 and 22 and each time I get the same result. I need to figure out where to get these stupid totems, some of these skills look pretty chill.

Shamans are the shit, man. At least, in my limited use of them on legit servers. Was my only hordie, got to 25 or something.

That being said....

On other servers, I've noticed totem vendors in the big cities. I don't think any of those quests work, so the only way to get them is buying them from an added vendor.

I could be mistaken, but afaik that's the lowdown.

I'm available late late fridays (after 1am eastern) until mid day sunday for any raids. I'm only 22 or so right now but that could be 30+ if I worked at it for a day. I'll go check for some totem vendors next time I'm around. Thanks.

I'm not sure totem vendors are on our server, but if they are they'd be in stomrwind or orgimarr, depending on faction.

I have a level 16 Tauren Hunter, and I'm finding some of the simular problems. I quested for "tame animals" I have eventhing but finding some chick in "ironforge" I have no idea where Ironforge is, I have this nasty mob with a ?? for a level that follows me, and then kills me.. My spells are lame at best, and I have no idea how to get better spells, I have mediocre armour, and a pair of shitty axes. I can't wear mail armour with no idea how to get mail armour....



I only play once or twice a week until after August 1, then I might be able to play a little more.

Ironforge is the main alliance city.

Tame pet should work if you have installed the latest version for tradewinds, and the addon pack.

Spells can be upgraded/purchased at your trainer. Should be one in most of the larger cities, sometimes at small places too.

I "think" hunters are stuck in leather for the first bit, don't quote me on it though. If/when you make it to said trainer, it should be on the list to purchase along with the level restriction.

As far as "crap" armor/weapons...find new mobs to kill. Most mobs in a level range on this server use the same drop tables, with only small variations. In a short while, you'll start getting all rare (blue) drops.

Don't know if the same holds true for (purple) epics, but eventually will find out. Hope this info helped.

I have no idea how to get to Iron Forge from Thunder Bluff. That's the area you're around right? The quest you took should give you some pointers as to the general direction, but it isn't on your continent. I found one portal in Orgrimmar that took me into Trisfal Glades on the alliance continent, but I didn't do much exploring over there. The ?? monster is 11+ levels above you. Watch out for those. You haven't gotten new skills/spells since level 1? At level 16 on this server you can probably kill things in the range of 16-24 with normal skills and the armour mobs drop. I haven't killed a mob that didn't drop good equipment... so I don't know what you're killin, but you need to loot more. I've had all blue armour since lvl 20 and overall bad ass equipment and weapons since the start of the game. Go to your nearest city and find a hunter trainer, and get your new skills. You get new ones a lot, every 2-4 levels or so. You can get lots of info like flight paths for zeppelins and wing riders, trainer locations, quest help, at http://wow.allakhazam.com/

I've never played a Hunter, but going with the main scheme of games and such, hunters would be in the category of preferring light armour over heavy mail, so you might want to look into sticking with leather and just getting better armour.

Latest Version? I'm still on the first insteall pack that worked with TradeWinds. Does this mean that I can now install 10?

1.10.0 will work, but theres a specific way to go about doing it and i havent had time to do a write-up unfortunatly.
