I just ordered an Asus N6800/TD GeForce 6800 AGP 8X 512MB DDR2 Video Card w/S-VHS & DVI-I, anyone have/had any experience with this particular card?
I've heard/read mixed reviews, but the majority of them seem to be positive. I'm hoping I'll be able to play Oblivion on this card (:bravo:) , as my prior Nvidia FX5500 256mb was lacking.
Here's the link, lemme know what you folks think.

I have a classic Geforce6 6800 128mb 8x AGP card and I love its performance capabilities.

I've always had good experiences with Nvidia and their GeForce cards, and being a man who follows routine I always seem to buy Nvidia. I was tempted to go with a Diamond Sapphire X1600 for just a bit more cash but wasn't as confident in the brand as with Asus and Nvidia.
I was greatly disappointed with the FX5500 when I first received it last year, but for $99 I really couldn't complain. It's supposedly geared more towards graphics, not gaming, but I really wasn't impressed with it's performance in any area. And when I purchased my motherboard last year when PCIE was still in it's infancy, I opted for AGP8x slots which really limits my choices and increases the price.
Sooo, yeah, looking forward to the upgrade and hoping for the best. Thanks for your thoughs, Invis.

No prob, you got one of the last high end graphics cards left in AGP form factor, as for the FX series, they were geared to make things prettier and sacrificed performance in doing so.

My $40 video card runs oblivion. Not well, but playable and still pretty without the grass. :P

Awesome card; looks pretty, sounds pretty, runs awesomely.
I can play Oblivion and every other game I have at ultra-high settings with no screen-lag. Lovin' it.
