The Dell XPS 600 is immediatly available (http://tinyurl.com/dbmdu) with the Ageia PhysX board. Dell has told us that systems ordered with Ageia’s physics processing unit will have no extra wait time associated with the build.

The Ageia PhysX board is available as a $249 upgrade in Dell XPS 600 systems, which start sans Ageia for $1699. Included is a Dell 20” 2005FPW LCD monitor.

The specs of the Ageia PhysX board included in the XPS 600 are as follows:

# Bus: 32-bit PCI

# Memory: 128MB of 128-bit GDDR3

# Memory Bandwidth: 12 GB/sec.

# Memory Speed: 366MHz (DDR)

# Peak Instruction Bandwidth: 20 Billion Instructions/sec

# Sphere-Sphere collisions/sec.: 530 Million max

# Convex-Convex (Complex) collisions/sec.533,000 max
