I also believe that god created everything (not in the seven day ridiculous story the bible has). I don't believe he would create everything as it is, and expect us to fix what we call his mistakes...everything is to his plan, wether it seems imperfect or not.
He did create everything in seven days.. but what the Bible does not say is this.. seven earth days.. seven days to Him could be thousands of years to us.

As for using the bible as a source for proving there is an all powerfull god, I see the bible as just government. Especially the old testament.
Judges in paticular is pretty much all government.
I don't know the answers but Jesus, Ghandi and Bhudda were closer than most people are but I don't think they knew either.
Just wanted to add, How can we measure anything besides light? Light is pretty much the only thing humans can see, so how can we say its the fastest thing in the entire universe?

When God created us, he created us in his likeness...his likeness being a creative being, able to create anything we desire. Jesus knew this, he desired to help those who asked for his help. He desired to show us tha which we were able to accomplish. Ghandi, the Bhudda were the same. Krishna, as well.
Now, we have the power to heal the sick, and you, Tristian, agree with taht. Why is it so hard to agree that we have the power of resurrection? Why must you think that only God could do that? If you cannot explain simply, then there is a fault here, because all of life is SIMPLE. It is us, humans, tha makes things difficult.
Many of the greatest men have stated that the simplest pleasures of life are the greatest. 'Don't sweat the large things, as they will take care of themselves. Sweat the small things in life, as they are most important.'
And so on...
No 'trick' or miracle is too great for us. Death is just a phase of transition from this world to another. What is to say taht God is the only one to allow us to come back to this world, if we choose to? That again would defy our Free Will. We have the power to resurrect ourselves, and Jesus showed us this. But, I ask you, once dead, would you really want to come back? Many people, time and time again, have proven this by NOT coming back ;)

people just think too hard. God exists cause he IS everything. he is the energy that the entire universe (including you and me) is made of.
God created the Big Bang. he had to get things jump started somehow, right? he used his energy (himself) to create all we know of (and have yet to discover) today.
Why? Because being God is simple when it's all you know. Knowing what is to NOT be God is why WE are here. God experiences everything through us and the earth and the air and all the other galaxies in out expanding universe.... because he IS all of it.
Knowing what it is to NOT be God, shows him what it means to be God. IE: "the sweet is never as sweet without the bitter"~ Vanilla Sky. "theory" of relativity. shouldn't be a THEORY at all. it should be called the natual law. (ie: what goes up must come down, etc.)
it's all so simple it's pathetic that we lost all this so young, thanks to the brainwashing of the world (which happens to all of us). that's why "finding yourself" is as simple as listening that voice deep down - your feelings - about life and not other humans. humans like religious people. "religion" means (the latin root of the word) "return to bondage" and God wants us to fuck up and learn and have FREE WILL - the opposite of religion, ironically. i believe in spitituality, not religion.
of course, no one is wrong in their beliefs either. as i am not right nor wrong. it's all relative. if people weren't wrong, we would have no purpose. cause we would all be perfect and in the state of God, not the energy he dispursed.
anyway... just a few mental notes from the rookie, here. hope it helped, or at least opened some minds. :D
