I don't understand why the thread "Coke" was moved. How does a picture of coke on missles belong in philosophy? General nonsense is a forum to write about whatever, right? I find the war to be nonsense.

I also don't understand why the thread was closed.

They moved it because 90% of the thread got into a war debate. The picture was a joke about Coke and the War, it wasn't meant to spark a debate.

It was either move the thread, or delete everyones posts in that thread.

Which is rather stupid, how the hell are people surprised when a thread related to war turns into debates about it?

Let's post pictures like such and be surprised the thread is about war! That's pretty stupid to think it wouldn't. The thread was about war before the first response was posted.

Know who started the debate? MissThand saying something to the effect of "this war is stupid".

At any point in time that you have someone expressing their opinion on this war, it will, regardless of who likes it or not, spark debate amongst people on this forum.

You people amaze me.

The "debate" should have been brought to the other thread that centered around a debate, or drawn up in the philosophy forum. The admins are simply stopping anything before it starts. Once one thread gets overrun by a debate, another one does, and another, and another.
