Anyone know how to get WG to telnet or use rlogin correctly to login from the BBS to TWGS?? This is the msg I am getting.
Connected to 192.168.0.1!
(To abort this connection, pause 2 seconds, then type "---".)
Failed to detect protocol. Expected Telnet...
Service ended.
Says the same thing for Rlogin as well.
Thanks!

Re: Twgs & Wg3.2nt
Did you set the comamnd line parameter for the telnet address to 192.168.1.100:8080? (example port and IP)?
Re: Twgs & Wg3.2nt
Yes, mine is set as follows
192.168.0.1 2002 it will let me put it in as 192.168.0.1:2002 but it would never answer. With the way I have it now, it says connecting on the TWGS said it just never goes all the way through. This was running great until I installed WinXP.
Thanks!

Probably finding it as a non-standard port and blocking it then.

1 - You must run TWGS on a seperate machine (different IP) than WG
2 - Set it up for rlogin
Thats it...

Yep, you won't be able to connect to the TWGS from WG if they are installed on the same system. It just will not work no matter what you try. If you don't have another machine on LAN that you can put the TW server on then you are pretty much screwed.

If it was, please offer the rest of the community how. From what I can tell, it won't run alongside WG on any machine.

I have TWGS and WG 3.2 running on the same machine, however wg won't allow you to do rloign back to the same machine, i had to route it though my firewall to make it work, its a pain in the ass, but thats life i guess.

Re: Twgs & Wg3.2nt
i have a theroy that has never actually been tested. it might be
possible to simply install a 2nd nic and run twgs on that ip. lets
say you run wg on 127.0.0.1 it might be possible to rlogin to
127.0.0.2 even tho both are assigned to the same puter.
