Updating from 1.11g to h
Updating from 1.11g to h
Last night I attempted to update my mud from 1.11g to 1.11h. Everything seemed to go well until I got the BBS back up with the new DLL so I could get into the game. When I went in I was retrained with 0 experience... so I look at the top list and everybody was at 0 experience. I took the normal steps to upgrade. When I loaded the BBS after the update I let it run through that corruption message and fully load then dropped it so I could swap out the DLL. Anybody have a clue what might be going on here or will I end up having to reset my game just to update...

you have to reset the game... you cant just update..

you should definately be able to just upgrade ... you did make a backup before hand right? I would put the backup in, install the new version, copy in the cracked dll, then run a recovery, and then boot the board.

i tried all kinds of things the upgrade screwed everything up.. my sug is to only copy over wccupda2.dat and the '1.11i' dll then fire it up and run the update... if that dont work im clueless i just said fuk it and reset :D

The corruption message is the message that goes to the audit trail the first time the bbs is run after the upgrade. It's discussed in the readme.txt file for the install.

It's looking like a reset it what will have to happen for me to update. I'm going to give upgrading one more shot though.
