Here are a few pictures of the damage from the storm. This is what an EF4 Tornado can do.

9 days ago my town got rocked by a series of major tornados. The damage was pretty bad. The entire area was without power for almost a week, cell phone service was spotty and still is, land line phones were out for 4 or 5 days, water was out for 2 days, and cable internet services were just restored this afternoon.

A friend of mine stationed at Eglin AFB in Florida heard on the news we got hit and called me late Thursday night to see if we were ok and what our status was.

Friday afternoon he showed up at my house with 5 cases of MREs and A-Packs, 5 cases of bottled water, 2 large coolers, 5 big bags of ice, 2 boxes of candles, 50 pounds of dog food, 3 flashlights, 10 packs of batteries, and 3 foot long subs from Subway for us to eat before he made the trip back to Florida.

Everyone should be fortunate enough to have friends like this in their life.
