Building a new machine. Don't have the funds to build my dream PC, which would run around $7,500, so this will have to do for the next few years.

AMD-Phenom™ II X6 Processor 1075T-HDT75TFBGRB (wanted the 1090T, but sold out 1 day before I ordered )
Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 DIMM (x 2, 8GB total) 1600Mhz
Seagate-Barracuda 1.5TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive
Corsair-Gaming Series 800-Watt ATX CPU Power Supply
Cooler Master-Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooling Fan with Heat Sink (was gonna go with the Cooler Master hydro cooler w/ a radiator, but figured that was probably a little overkill for my needs)
Already have an EVGA GTX 460 SC EE 1024mb graphics card (plan to buy another if it'll fit in the case), and other peripherals from my old machine.
This is a huge step up from my Asus M2N-E SLI mobo, AMD 64 x2 2.8ghz CPU and 6gb of DDR2, and old ass 500mb hard drive.
Financed it with Best Buy - just opened a card with them to buy a camera for my honeymoon in May, and got 18 months interest-free on my order for the new build. Paid a teeny bit more than I would have going through Newegg or the like (about $175 more), but the financing made up for that.

Definitely need the new evga drivers. I had a 9800GTX+ that cooked itself becasue the fan speeds are locked...

Yeah, updated my vid card drivers as soon as I got the card. The first card I got was defective - apparently the GTX 460 EE SC (external exhaust, superclocked) has a common problem of overheating.. So after satisfying the support agent's request that I use a "large household fan" to blow air into my case to cool the card, I RMA'd it and received a good card, with no problems.
I'll definitely upgrade the firmware for the motherboard when it comes in. I'll be getting pieces shipped from the 14th to the 17th - next week. Wish it would all come on the same day, but it's being shipped from all over the place. Had to pay for expedited shipping on a couple of items to make sure they at least all arrive in the same week.
How's the motherboard working for you, Erik? I've been drooling over photos and reviews of the board since I started shopping for parts. All reviews lead me to believe it's an outstanding (if not necessarily top-of-the-line) board.
My current machine was cobbled together 4-5 years ago, so anything fairly current is definitely a step up for me. I don't have the time I used to for playing games, but when I do have the time I want to be able to play whatever I want without issues. As it stands now, I can't play CoD: Black Ops - laggy jumpy video, even after upgrading my vid card and adding 2 gb of memory. Guessing my hard drive is the main issue, coupled with my CPU.
Can't wait to get everything assembled and up and running.

How much was the total price? I was recently pricing out some new sandy bridge builds with an i5-2500k. Was coming out to about $1,500 with a monitor.

With just what was shown above (no monitor or peripherals), price without tax and shipping was $954.92. With tax and shipping, $1094.40. Great deal at Best Buy right now is the 18-month no interest financing on $429 and up.
