Fire and ice dmg w/ Dusk

I've seen this happen a few times on a non-edited board, and can't explain or find any info on it. It seems to occur when a high level 65+ ranger is swinging Dusk while also carrying paired dragonblades. It will give the darkness hits spell from dusk, as well as dealing the fire and ice dmg like you get from pdb. Anyone else ever seen, or can explain this?
