I love how you make a bunch of unsupported claims, i annihilate each one of them, and you have to either shut up or go off topic because you can't counter a single point of my logic.
Or I choose not to participate in your childish behavior? Arguing with you guys is pointless..

I guess in this case you have chosen off topic.

Kurt, as much as I can appreciate a well crafted argument, duping in a PvP realm upsets the fundamental balance of the game, itself. It doesn't matter that everyone can do it. One player should not be able to take out another player's character in one attack. It's that simple. Multiple players using dupes just compounds the issue. I would argue that PvP is also part of the fundamental nature of the game... races/classes are balanced against each other as well as against how quickly they can accumulate experience/survive/etc... Duping in a PvP realm upsets that balance by giving more ability to PvP classes vs. other classes (the double backstab). If DI wanted to gang up and double bs everyone, fine, but you shouldn't ALSO be able to play classes that better enable scripting and boss killing. Either you're a PvP'r or you're not. That's part of the original layout of the game.
An example of what I mean by that fundamental balance: Currently, the thief gets a tremendous backstab bonus. Someone in the PvP realm was quite astonished that a thief could take out almost any other player in one hit (this is arguably unbalanced, but evens out in the later game, so we'll let it slide). That is an AMAZING PvP ability. The trade-off, however, is that you're stuck being a thief in all other aspects of the game (leather wearing combat 3, etc...). Contrast that with a Witchy or Magic-3 caster who can fight like crazy against bosses and mobs, but lack the surprise element of a player attack (yeah, it's possible, but they're not as effective). There is a reason some classes have stealth and some don't.
I understand what you're saying with "everyone can do it" and I understand that many people like playing with a dupe, but doing that in a PvP realm is just too much of a good thing. It's overkill. We experienced it. We noted it. We made changes as a result.
Peronsally, I'd like to be able to play one character in each realm... PvP and non-PvP (or 2 in the non-PvP), but our technology seems limited as far as rules enforcement and we cannot trust that people will simply follow them on their own. As I have to make a choice, I'm in the non-PvP realm because, at this time, I require a more passive style of play. I cannot pay enough attention to my script to want to invite PvP into the picture. Part of this is the life style I'm living right now, part of this is my internet connection (a cell connection from Japan... seriously) and part of this is the hardware I use (a netbook). So, I'm totally cool removing PvP from the game. However, I'm waiting for ADSL to get installed, I've purchased a full size keyboard (Japanese, however... a little ugh) and we'll see how that turns out. If you guys find a ONE CHARACTER PvP board you'd like to play on, let me know and I'll come roll with you.

I'm not sure I understand your argument but I would like to since you are the only one attempting to make one. You said that it doesn't matter that everyone can do it. Why not? You also seem to be under the impression we all had one backstabber and another character that enabled us to kill bosses. Cheeze was the only person that had a mix like that. The rest of us prefer to stick with similar types of dupes, backstabbers, casters, melee's, ect. I do not want to sound cocky when I say this but your real problem seems to be you do not know enough about Mudrev. Backstabbers (thieves included) can script and kill bosses quite well on Mudrev. So well infact Miles noticed how well Demon was experiencing and proceeded to change that in the new realm. And casters are perfectly able to kill scripts as well as being great at scripting and bosses. If we played on Mudrev again you would see the exact same characters as before just half as many. The results would be much the same as We pointed out baring any worse cheating from Miles.

as someone that has played a thief in a realm with mudrev,a thief has no problem killing bosses.eventually a thief can't keep up with a caster scripting, but then again in a mudrev realm who can.
