Anyone looking forward to this?
It seems like Blizzard is really trying to lose customers, but I am still hella stoked about this.
First they mentioned this will be released as three separate games ($60 each), that made the fanbois cry, but I'm still down.
Next they mentioned no LAN support, also making the fanbois shed a tear. To be honest, I couldn't care less.
And just recently they announced there will be a monthly fee to play on the new Battle.net, $5-$8/month. While this one makes me cringe a little, I'll still be doing it. Most of the fanbois are gone, though.

Re: Starcraft 2
I'm really disappointed at the no LAN support. I like to LAN at home, my girl enjoys games like starcraft along with one of my roommates. I really don't see why they don't just throw it in there. I'm assuming the no LAN decision is based on sites like Kali and LAN Emulators. Greedy bitches.
Am I to understand that I'll have to pay $5-$8 a month to play SC2 with people in my own house? If so, no dice.

Re: Starcraft 2
I think their main reason is to stop piracy. But I'm sure the added revenue from Battle.net didn't hurt their decision.

Pre-ordered from Amazon, it comes on Friday. Sorta wishing I bought it locally -- I'd be playing it right now.

Re: starcraft 2
it should be downloaded by the time i get home today. Im not a huge real time strategy type of guy, but I will give it a try. I can't wait til civ5 comes out. I might actually have to pay for the first time since my purchase of mount & blade in the beginning of the year.
StarCraft 2 will most likely not get purchased... but it will kill a little time.
