I would not accept donations until at least version 1.0 is out and released, if that makes any difference. In fact, I've been kicking around the idea of utilizing Kickstarter.com for the funding. The premise of that site is that no money changes hands until the full amount of funding is achieved. So if I don't raise enough, no one is required to pay anything.
