Megamud and System Lockups when Hanging

Is there a way to fix this problem when you hang and the megamud locks up your system for like 5 minutes?

Do you get disoneected, then try and reconnect and your system just sits there and lag so bad that you can barely move your mouse cursor? If so thats megamud causing it, if you get disconnected close out megamud and reopen and connect again and it should work fine. Repeat process as needed.

spamming escape whenever the lag starts helps too

click the connect/hangup button rapidly. the system will lockup, then unfreeze.
