Welp, here's the skinny.



Pretty Good edits, very helpful realm, 8x/10x at time of this posting, though the sysop says it will be reduced to 6x/8x soon. Lots of new areas, obsidian fort, shadowmere, mystic planes, unholy forest, hollow mountainside, belly of hell, etc.. Could use some more items for variety, but all in all, it's a decent edited game.



The only caveat is that they are prone to making changes without warning, though they try to let you know, via incessant gos events and forum posts, what the changes were.



I, personally, don't like the management, for personal reasons, but I would say they do a good job usually. However, *TWO* is too many Mudops, IMO, and they have several. most of the top list, in fact.



Basically, if you want a friendly game, with some newer stuff to check out, this is a good place to do it. Help is abundant, but remember to stay in your place (which isn't the top10). :yeah: :naw: :ok:

In reply to the first post...i am the sysop of Moonriver bbs. The changes being made to the bbs were told several months ago that the bbs would soon be undergoing some changes in the following months. I have also put a recent message on my website as to these changes and the changes made so far. The bbs was put up in a hurry which was my fault...i didnt know how to edit at the time and just wanted the bbs up. The bbs has added almost 20 new areas to date as well as spells,eq and weapons. Some of the areas i put in were given to me by a friend who no longer has his bbs...so alot had to be tweaked to fit my bbs. His exp was way off the charts. I dont want to have a bbs where everyone levels to 100 in a few days or weeks. What fun is that? I also do have quite a few ops but i am only online during the day and i needed others who were on at night as well as latenight incase any player needs anything. What's up with all these non-pvp bbses? Talk about catering to a noninteractive majormud community..I'd play here because of the easy exp because I bore easily of mud, but no point if I can't break someone's neck whenever I deem necessary.

Merry Early Xmas. I got these from the Sysop. The ones that are on the bbs downloads area are corrupt so she sent me these. I was checking it out today, not a bad little place. The Sysop is learning how to edit so be patient with the edits.

So...if you've ever played dd's bbs, this has some strange similarities. I'll leave it at that, play for yourself before you make any judgements.

What is it thats familiar with dd's bbs?? I dont think there is anything the same at all. I just have one area i think probably in the same place as he had one but any of these areas werent or are on DD'S bbs at all. Shrug!
