I recieved a call from the Syaop today. The server went down at about 11am Pacific time. The reason for this is that the person who lives above him fell asleep with a cig in his hand. This resulted in a fire so Sysop lost everythign in his living rom due to fire or water im not sure which one but dont fret the server should be up tomorrow afternoon or early evening.
Dont fret the server is fine and your char's are safe

In light of what occured, the server would be the LAST thing i would worry about if it were mine. Im just glad to know the op is still ALIVE.

...I just tried to connect to this BBS and it was down any idea why? I seriously doubt it's cleanup at 3:18pm...

As of writing this the server is still not up. This is a great place to play and id like to know if anyone has any new information on whats going on.

Sorry to hear about the fire. That's the reason Boink Machine went offline for quite a period of time last year... we had a fire in my office/study while we were vacationing that ended up destroying quite a bit in the office. Luckily insurance gave us a fairly nice settlement and the laptop wasn't damaged.
Hope everything is going well with this situation. Put RL first and don't worry about the mudding world.

Hey everyone... just wanted to apologize for my board being down, ive just now gotten to a computer to give everyone a heads up...
The server went down due to a stoned and utterly moronic neihbor of mine leaving a cig burning and causing an fire in my building... not too worry, noone was seriously hurt, and the worst injury was the person that started it... Karma, gotta love it... anywho.... all my updates and all teh characters that were created are still saved... ive not had the chance to get everything hooked up and running again because immediatly after i got everything moved i had to make a trip out to california for family reasons... i will probably be out here for another few weeks, then ill head home and get everything running again...
I have some great plans drawn up for my new latest edits, so when im back in town, ill need a couple weeks to get them implemented also... My main concern is this... I had quite a few players before everything went haywire and i need some feedback as to if i should simply make my updates, then get the board up and running, OR install my edits, then wipe all the current characters so everyone can start fresh... When i get it back up youll have another 6-10 new races and classes, plently of new areas for all levels and all the class specific areas finished, so keep that in mind when you let me know... Thanks, you guys have been great!!!

Well new shit will be totaly nice... do you still have all the items (like my specialty Witchie armour) or are we starting totaly from the ground up? I dont mind the wait in eather case im just glad to see you workin on getting it back up cause i totaly dig playin there.

All previous items/quests/races/classes/areas will still be saved... im also going to make some new shops for the gear/spells that the new classes use... still havent got enough feedback as to if my old players want a reset or not... they come first...
