I did post limited info on this bbs when i started it, was still quite new at that time and didn't know exactly where i wanted to go with the story line and whatnot, was still working out some bugs, so had a couple issues, but ive gotten them worked out. I do still need to add help files for the new races/classes, only reason i havent done them yet is because i keep a mme database file updated with most of the details (excluding some of the new maps, quests, etc).



Im sure one of the first questions ill get is whats with the infinite quests thing.... Well, at first, i went in and delved around in textblocks for 30 hours and added automatic response quests... Then i realized that it wasnt going to give me the effect i was going for... SO.. We work on a Reward Token basis... When you want a quest, you ask over gossip channel for an Op, one responds and assigns you a quest designed either for you singular or a group... Once the quest is completed, you recieve a token that you may cash in at your liesure. Tokens can be stolen or traded with other players.



There are 2 forms of quests... Normal quests, and Hero quests.... Normal quests are usually just simple go get this, or go to this place, etc kind of thing... not really hard to do. Becuase of the type of quest, the tokens for these wont get you as much in reward as if it were a hero token.... Hero quests on the other hand are hard quests, usually time consuming, and have to be thought about. The rewards from Hero quests get you a specially created item that you may customize per the design of your character. I have 3 non-playing mudops, and myself the sysop, so theres usually someone around to hand out quests.



Gang Quests are in place to allow gangs to possibly add things to thier emblems, open up certail new areas in the realm. Rules for this are simply that all gang members must be present during quest, and survive to get the flags.

dont worry abotu the exp, i have it set up that you can get exp as quest rewards, so its easy to level if you give it the time

It's good to see a board going up that doesn't just have sys goto's, some edited exp, and call it a new edited realm. Kudos for actually putting time and energy into 'real' edits :-)

ty... im in this because i love the game, i dont want it to be some quickie realm where you come, get to level 50 in a day and find all teh new stuff then have nothing more to do so you just never log in anymore.... I WANT MY PLAYERS TO GET ADDICTED!!! LOL



Theres alot of detail here, and its really interesting to see how 2 people of the same race/class differ because of thier customized eq... I thought about adding an exp multiplier, and i really thought that it would ruin what im trying to achieve... i will probably raise the exp of some of the harder bosses...

This BBS Rocks. With the ability to do Quests for Items and even Custom "Hero" quests... its a place i enjoy. If you like Muds that keep you comming back, this is the one. If you just wanna circle jerk and get to level 50 in one day then look elsewhere. People will help you usualy and items are easy to come by.
