megamud hates stone giant chieften

just wondering if anyone has had this problem? For some reason my megamud likes to attack stone giant chieften first no matter what else is in the room and whatever settings i use. This causes me to die with a full room rather than clearing the room and then killing him (or killing everything in the room and just ignoring him which would be the ideal). I am running an villian rep char and I have tried:



a) setting him to "friend" - megamud attacks him first anyways

b) setting him to "non-hostile" - megamud attacks him first anyways

c) setting him to "last" - megamud attacks him first anyways

d) messing around with the "find-first and check if alive" - megamud STILL attacks him first anyways.

Your megamud may have added another stone giant chieften in your monster database, or your character database may be screwy also. At least that is what I would check. You can even try deleting stone giant chieften alltogether from your database, then re-making him, that may do the trick.

Double checked my database and I don't have a double chief. I guess I'll try deleting him like you suggested and letting mega make a new one. Now I just gotta wait a few hours for him to respawn again

didn't work after i tried deleting him and set him to friend... i killed off all the stone giants in the room, and then attacked the chief with 3 shamans in the room. doh... shams are set to low priority, and giants set to normal priority.



any other ideas?

Are you sure it's actually attacking the chieftain? Are you sure it's not just doing

"a stone giant"

which matches stone giant chieftain?

What about setting him to low, put shaman to med, and giants to high?

well I tried "avoid" and i also tried changing the priorities, but nothing seems to work. I deleted the chieften from the database, and re-entered a new chieften, but that did not work either. I've also tried reinstalling on top of my folder (so i didn't have to re-enter bbs settings, health and spell settings etc). still doesn't work.
