I recently setup mmud 1.11p on a win2k box within vmware. Everything's been great up until now, and the game just FLEW. Tonight my system crashed taking the VM down with it. When I brought it back up, it ran a recovery as expected, and came back online. However, the system is now running horribly slow (exp rates have dropped by half and such).
Any suggestions?
Slow after crash?
Re: Slow after crash?
Sounds like a high initialization rate. Go into Worldgroup General Setup, then WCCMMUD, then INITRATE. Basically the higher the setting is, the quicker the board will come up but the slower it'll be as it finishes initializing. It's been a long time, but I think if you set it at maximum it'll run at full speed when the board comes up. It'll take a little longer to startup but not much.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. It seems to be up to its full speed now too.

Meh, still having this problem. Tried setting INITRATE to the min, tried setting INITRATE to the max, no such luck. It runs slow for a long time (4+ hours, maybe until cleanup?) before going back to full speed.
