Hellgate: London

Post by ari »

Thoughts? I'm sure people have heard about and seen this game coming up for release at the end of the month. Free to play after purchase, but if you want the extra content that'll be released later it's $10/month. I'm thinking about pre-ordering, but honestly $50 is more cash than I can just randomly toss on something that will entertain me for a week or two. My computer seems to have the specs' covered (though, as always, my video card leaves something to be desired), so I'm just wondering if it'll be "fun". They also are going to offer founders pricing, where if you pre-order, you then have until the end of Nov (1 month after release) to pony up another $150 for a lifetime premium membership. I'll likely not do that, unless I ask for it as a gift I guess from 'rents for christmas, but otherwise not.

Anyways, watcha think?

Some friends of mine have pre-ordered and purchased the unlimited online play for $150 pack. I think i'll wait for some reviews before I commit.

Was reading up on this game last week. Looks pretty dope. I'll have to download the demo and check it out.

Well, it's about noon now, and I haven't seen anything anywhere. Since I'll be in bed w/in the hour, I guess I won't get a chance to play until tomorrow.

If anyone grabs the demo, post a link here so I can reference it easy before work tonight.

Down to 50k and 8+ hours...knew I shouldn't have posted the link for ya'll. Bastards!

Edit: Dur, uTorrent ftw. Closed it, getting 110k+ now, under 4 hours. Guess that means some of you can play when you get home if you start downloading now, but I still have to wait 'till morning because it's to late for me. /whine

The full version will be $50...hence, I'm all about the demo! With my shitty video card, it'll be nice to know if I can actually run the game before I buy it.

Though there is an "offline" mode to it, so I suppose you may see it around the 'net.
