Show just disconnected!!! in convo box.

I have changed just hungup!!! to just disconnected!!! in the megamud.exe so it will show in your convo box. Because this is a different length string this is really tricky. You can't just chop and add to an exe how you want.



This is how I did it, if you even care.

1. Search for just hung

2. Insert 5 bytes after just hungup and before !!! i.e. just hungup !!! (Use Edit:Insert)

3. Type over hungup and make it disconnected i.e. just disconnected!!!

(Just above where you are is 'Current Adventures' used in the who list for megamud to record players.)

4. Cut 5 bytes out of Current Adventures. i.e. nt Adventures (Use delete Key)

5. Type Current over the last 7 characters of Adventures. i.e. nt AdvCurrent

6 Now space bar over nt Adv.

It should look like this in the ascii side of your editor:

BEFORE:

Title .... Current Adventurers... just hung up!!!.... just left the Realm....

AFTER:

Title .... Current... just disconnected!!!.... just left the Realm....



Note:

I suggest just grabbing hex workshop and doing this yourself. Once you do something like this it really opens the door for you. But if that's just not something you can do, I have provided a fully automated patch for you.

Here's the same patch except this version doesn't check the checksum of the file. The reason it doesn't is because if you have altered your original file, such as used syntax53's title patch, it will not update your megamud.exe because it's a different file checksum.



Don't use this on anything except megamud 1.03u.

I made this patch for people who aren't in control of that function. Since it's basically universally left as just disconnected!!!

Either way it has it's uses. Now you don't have to do it for each bbs

Ok DC I tried it your way. Did you know it comes across as green? Like a broadcast. That iriatates me.
