wccuser.dat btrieve error

I have a multimud bbs. The two modules are 1)supermud 2)majormud.



Supermud has no problems. However, in majormud, a user/hacker keeps doing something that causes a btrieve error in the file wccuser.dat. This crashes my board and it does not automatically come back up.



I even tried restoring a backup from a day before to see if maybe it was unintentional, but even though it worked, it keeps happening, and the board is crashed.



Any suggestions on what i can do to remedy this problem?

does it happen as soon as they log in? if so it may just be their record in the database is corrupt. in that case try deleted them from the database. could also try running wgsridx.

I ran wgsridx but it didn't do anything. When i started up my board, it emailed me a lot of mail that i thought i deleted. wierd. lets see if the crash happens again.



I've checked the audit trail to see who's been logging on and causing the crash but i have to investigate the time between their log on and the crash a little bit further.



No, i do not know what they are doing.. wierd..

It's still crashing, I restored backups from 1 day then 2 days back. Going to try 3 days. If this doesn't work, what can I do? reset the realm?

ok 3 days back in time did the trick, its not crashing anymore.
