'GTA' Game Rating Changed to Adults-Only

Looks like the old addage is right, the queaky wheel gets the grease and when enuff bitching is done people respond. Yahoo has a write up on how GTA gets a rating change to "Adult Only". Seems kind of silly that it was switched just because someone found a way to unlock the hot coffee mod.

AO is a joke- theres, according to wikipedia, a total of 19 games with AO- 19 Adults Only games in 11 years of ESRB. You cannot tell me there are only 19 Adult Only games in the US.....

There are many "M" for mature games out in the U.S.. Those are nice and violent! Not sure really what the "AO" games are. Can you post the PS2 AO games?



also - did anyone get this "Hot Coffee" mod working on the PS2? If so, how so?

I would assume if your going to do it on the PS2 you would need some sort of bootloader program seeing as how its a ROM

Yep you need a mod chip and theres a few extra steps to unlock it on the PS2. AO is a complete joke, honestly I think it would just make people want to buy it more. I know I'd generally want to see an NC17 movie over a rated R movie.

Funny thing is, as a night person I see a show on G4 (yes, I still watch TechTV) called Cinematech: Nocturnal Emissions. There's tons of games on there that in the states would get this AO rating, but for some reason (ahemCHRISTIANRIGHTcoughcough) they never get released in the states.



I've owned GTASA since it came out, but my tv tube started going on me, and the screen was so dark that I literally couldn't play when it became night time. Well, I have a new TV now, but no mod chip to get this to work on PS2. Regardless, this reminded me that I should load it up when I get done playing Suikoden IV.
